University of Mediterranean Karpasia, Cyprus Research Center\u2019s Seminar Series Continues!<\/p>\n

The Cyprus Research Center of the University of Mediterranean Karpasia,<\/strong> honored a significant figure who made a mark on Cyprus history, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Alt\u0131nay<\/strong>, with a seminar held on Friday, January 31st. This special event took place at the Beyarmudu Social Facilities in collaboration with the Beyarmudu Municipality.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

The event began with an opening speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tolga \u00d6z, Vice Rector of the University of Mediterranean Karpasia. In his address, Assoc. Prof. Dr. \u00d6z emphasized the purpose of the seminar and stated that through such events, the Cyprus Research Center continues to shed light on the history of Cyprus. <\/p>\n\n

Former Member of Parliament H\u00fcseyin Angonemli<\/strong>, Academic Prof. Dr. Zehra Alt\u0131nay Gazi<\/strong>, and Researcher-Writer \u0130smail Bozkurt<\/strong> conveyed to the participants the life, biography, and important legacy that Prof. Dr. Mehmet Alt\u0131nay contributed to society.<\/p>\n\n

At the event, Beyarmudu Mayor B\u00fclent Bebek<\/strong> also delivered a speech. Mayor Bebek emphasized that, regardless of political views, the Turkish Cypriot community has achieved significant accomplishments by uniting for the benefit of the country, and highlighted Prof. Dr. Mehmet Alt\u0131nay as a role model in this regard. He expressed his gratitude for Alt\u0131nay’s international achievements and esteemed character. <\/p>\n\n

President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Mr. Ersin Tatar<\/strong>, also attended the event and expressed his deep respect for Prof. Dr. Mehmet Alt\u0131nay. Tatar praised Alt\u0131nay’s contributions both to the Turkish Cypriot community and to the international society, once again emphasizing his important place in the history of Cyprus. <\/p>\n\n

As the University of Mediterranean Karpasia, we will continue to bring together prominent figures who have contributed value to Cyprus and its people within the framework of the Cyprus Research Center Seminar Series<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
