Forty-two years have passed since the founding of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Built with great hopes, sacrifices, and struggle, our beautiful Republic has yet to be recognized by any country other than our motherland, Turkey.

As we reach the final months of 2025, both economic and political embargoes persist.
The year 2025 will go down in history as one marked by widespread conflicts and bloodshed—the most turbulent since the end of the Second World War. It is possible to count many other forms of isolation across different sectors as well. Over time, civil servants have been conditioned to accept these restrictions, and the Turkish Cypriot community has been distanced from industry. Yet, despite everything, small-scale local production still survives.
